Asbury is pleased to do God’s will as an instrument to spread God’s kingdom around the world. Through our giving in worship services we support UMCOR (United Methodist Council on Relief), which supports many foreign missionaries and has provided help to those in areas where hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods have occurred here in the U.S. We are active in sending mission teams and supporting these teams with our money and with our prayers. In recent years we have sent mission teams to New Mexico, Tennessee, Kentucky, and the southern part of West Virginia.
Our donations go to Jefferson County Community Ministries and Meals on Wheels. We encourage all of our members and friends to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they work locally or in other communities in our state or our country.
